About Bollerud-Holland Associates

Kathleen Bollerud, Ed.D.

Kathleen BollerudAs an independent consultant, specializing in executive coaching and leadership development services, I bring the combined skills of an experienced senior leader, psychologist and certified executive coach to my clients. Prior to founding Bollerud-Holland Associates in 1981, I served as Director of Psychology for Beech Hill Hospital and Clinical Director for MFMHS, a mental health center with 120 staff.

My industry experience is very broad, including executive assessment and coaching, team building, design of 360-feedback instruments, large-scale organizational change efforts, such as Future Search or integration following an acquisition. My diverse clientele represent a wide variety of public and private organizations in industries including distribution, retail, finance, health care, insurance, manufacturing, education, technology and not-for profits.

As an executive coach for Duke Corporate Education (Fuqua School of Business), I am associated with a leading provider of executive education programs worldwide. To broaden the services to my clients, I affiliate with a small network of senior psychologists and consultants in complementary firms (The Executive Development Group of Greensboro, NC, and Behavioral Resources in Greenville, SC).

My doctorate is from Harvard University in Counseling and Consulting Psychology with advanced training at the Whittemore School of Business, the Center for Creative Leadership and the College for Executive Coaching. I have been a teaching fellow at Harvard Graduate School of Education, Harvard Medical School and an Adjunct Faculty at Antioch Graduate School. I am a recipient of the Cleveland International Fellowship from Stockholm, Sweden. My publications are in the areas of adolescent development and women's psychology. Professionally, I belong to the International Coaching Federation and the Society for Consulting Psychology. Active in community affairs, I work with the American Red Cross Disaster Mental Health Network and am Chairman of the Trustees of Historic Harrisville, a National Historic Landmark site.

“You have helped in training several of our leadership teams. You brought structure to team development to help our leaders develop effective strategies for our organization. Your ability to coach, assess team members, and overall organizational development skills have been extremely effective in moving us forward to a "performance-driven" business. I look forward to working together, especially in working through team dynamics and coaching us through difficult business issues.”
